Now V-TEK/Royce is able to provide GEM-compliant equipments to their customers. During a custom training and hands-on session an Kontron AIS engineer explained the world of SECS/GEM to the customer and gave support during an initial implementation.
StratNanoTech were looking for a modern, open tool control framework for replacing their old control solution. The challenge was to find a product as well as a strong partner behind it. Both were found at AIS. A high level of standard modules from the ToolCommander®, combined with the open und modular software design of the framework, allowed easy customizations for a first system.
Hevel Group has completed the modernization of its thin film factory in Novocheboksarsk and converted it to heterojunction technology (HJT).
The production capacity was increased from 97.5 MW to 160 MW and later to 260 MW. The goal of the project was to install the FabEagle®MES in the solar cell production area of the modernized production line in order to make the production process visible and transparent and to create a solid basis for detailed reporting.
In the second quarter of 2018, the ZF Friedrichshafen AG has started operations of a new production line for the gearbox housing production in the field of commercial vehicles. The AIS Automation Dresden took over the SCADA development and adaptation to the manufacturing environment, with various interfaces to machine suppliers, the MES and SAP of ZF. Furthermore, AIS assumed the entire IT project management.
The existing electric monorail system (ECS) of ZF FRIEDRICHSHAFEN AG at Passau Plant 2 will be modernized in several stages starting in 2018. In addition to the structural conversion work, this also entailed changes in the IT landscape and data communication. The communication between the ZF IT systems and the ECS control system had to be renewed because the existing control system had to be replaced. In the course of this conversion, the historically grown IT applications were also updated to the ZF standard IT architecture.
High-quality production systems are running several years. Despite a flawless function there are occaisionally upcoming problems through the years - e.g. discontinuation of operating systems and control components by the software provider. These problems can be evaded, but sometime they reach the point, when the facilities availability is in danger. The renewal of the line control technology in the production of intaglio printing / rotation at Prinovis Dresden ensures, that the facilities are still running stable and that there is a available support. Furthermore the production line system the plant gets a lot new functions in succession of the modernization.
